If you decided to apply to ETU "LETI" and you application has been confirmed, please, read carefully the instructions below and follow the rules step by step.
- Before the arrival – invitation to enter the Russian Federation
- Upon arrival – registration of the foreign citizen in Federal Migration Service
- Medical insurance
- While studying – prolongation of registration of the foreign citizen in Federal Migration Service
- Before departure from St.Petersburg (temporary departure)
- Upon graduation
BASIC RULES OF STAY OF FOREIGN CITIZENS IN RUSSIAN FEDERATION
TERMS:
FOREIGN NATIONAL (FN) - is a person who is not a citizen of the Russian Federation and who has a citizenship of the foreign state.
STATELESS PERSON (SP) - - is a person who is not a citizen of the Russian Federation and doesn't have any nationality, or a recognized link between an individual and any foreign state.
FN or SP can enter the Russian Federation for study purposes on the basis of VISA or be subjected to VISA-FREE ENTRY.
NOTIFICATION OF FOREGN CITIZEN REGISTRATION IN FMS (hereinafter referred to as NOTIFICATION) – fixation of information about the residence of foreign citizen in the Russian Federation.
DEPORTATION - is the expulsion of a person or group of people from a place or country, if the person lost his legal status to remain in the Russian Federation.
FOREIGN NATIONAL (FN) - is a person who is not a citizen of the Russian Federation and who has a citizenship of the foreign state.

NOTIFICATION OF FOREGN CITIZEN REGISTRATION IN FMS (hereinafter referred to as NOTIFICATION) – fixation of information about the residence of foreign citizen in the Russian Federation.

ATTENTION, PLEASE:
Each NEW ENTRY to the Russian Federation should be accompanied by the NEW registration in FMS.
The current registration is CANCELLED by any change of accommodation in the Russian Federation (different dormitory, hotel change, stay at the medical institution).
While studying – prolongation of registration of the foreign citizen in Federal Migration Service
The registration of the foreign citizen in FMS must be prolonged no less than 45 days before its termination. The academic progress and duly paid tuition fees are required from the student, wishing to prolong his/her registration term.
Foreign nationals (FN) and stateless persons (SP) (with visa entry) and FN and SP (visa-free entry) studying on contract basis or under the Ministry of Education and Science referral:
Print out the statement for registration prolongation and fill it in;
Gather the necessary signatures ;
Bring the statement with the full set of documents mentioned in it to the international students office (registration department), room 3423-1
Foreign nationals (FN) and stateless persons (SP) (visa free entry) studying on the budget basis should bring to the international students office (registration deparment), room 3423-1, the following set of documents:
Copy of passport;
Migration card (original and copy);
Copy of the agreement.
